I graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in May of 2004 with a Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Information Technology Infrastructure.

Much of my course work revolved around hands-on experience being taught by workers in the field, such as Cisco employees. This experience allowed me to work with the technology while learning about it, instead of simply learning theories.

I received my degree with two emphasis: Network Administration and Systems Administration. I have worked in both fields, getting network administration experience by setting up and maintaing wired & wireless networks and gaining experience in systems administration by working with desktop & server support units.

I have also taken coursework in computer programming, such as: Java, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, and C/C++. By utilizing these courseworks in conjunction with MySQL knowledge I have gained from reading books I have developed web applications and assisted with the development of others.

I’m looking for positions in Network or Systems administration, infrastructure security, wireless installation and maintainence, or web applications development. I am also looking for positions with management opportunities. In my most recent jobs I have had the opportunity to expand my abilities by doing project management and limited management roles. I feel that my technical abilities when combined with my problem solving skills and group skills allow me to manage others effectively.
